1 Somerset Commencing on the eastern shore of the Gulf of Carpentaria on the 12th parallel of south latitude, and bounded thence due east by that parallel to the boundary of the colony under Act 43 Vic. No. 1 to the Barrier Roof ; thence by that boundary northerly, westerly, and southerly to the said 12th parallel of south latitude, and by that parallel due east to the point of commencement,—to include all islands and shipping within these boundaries, comprising the Division of Torres. 2 Palmer Commencing on the eastern shore of the Gulf of Carpentaria at the mouth of the Mitchell River, and bounded thence by that river upwards to its junction with the Palmer River ; thence easterly by the range forming the watershed between the Mitchell and the Palmer Rivers to the Main Range forming the watershed between the waters flowing into the Gulf of Carpentaria and the waters flowing into the Pacific Ocean ; thence northerly by that range to the 12th parallel of south latitude ; thence due west by that parallel to the eastern shore of the Gulf of Carpentaria ; and thence southerly by that shore to the point of commencement,—comprising the Division of Hann. 3 Cook Commencing on the sea-coast at Double Point, which point is about 15 miles north-westerly from the town of Cairns ; thence by a line westerly to the northern watershed of the Barron River to the Coast Range ; and thence by that range northerly to the 12th parallel of south latitude ; thence east by that said parallel to the sea-coast ; and thence southerly by the sea-coast to the point of commencement,—comprising the Divisions of Douglas and Daintree, and the Municipality of Cook-town, and including all adjacent islands within the maritime boundary of Queensland under the Act 43 Vic., No.1. 4 Woothakata Commencing at the mouth of the Mitchell River, and bounded thence by that river upwards to its confluence with the Palmer River ; thence by the watershed separating the Palmer from the Mitchell River easterly to the Coast Range ; thence by that range southerly and by the western watershed of the Barron River to a point east from the Plantain Tree crossing on the Walsh River ; thence by a line west to that crossing and Lionel Edward Dyne Towner, Police Magistrate Thornborough.
