CLASS I.—GOVERNMENT.

ORDER 2.—Accountants, Clerks, Etc.,—viz. :—

Accountants, Clerks, Architects, Surveyors, Civil Engineers, Draftsmen, Customs and Excise Officers, Pilots, Lighthouse-keepers, Schoolmasters, Schoolmistresses, and Teachers under the Board of Education.

ORDER 3.—Messengers, Porters, Laborers, Boatmen, Etc.,—viz.:—

Messengers, Doorkeepers, Officekeepers, Porters, Carters, Boatmen, Orderlies, Message Boys, Soldiers, Sailors (Navy), Laborers.

ORDER 4.—Police,—viz. :—

Police Magistrates, Clerks of Petty Sessions, Detectives, Police Officers of all grades and all Persons employed in Penal Establishments, Gaols, Reformatories, etc.

Surgeons, Medical Practitioners, Medical Students, Irregular Medical Practitioners, Dentists, Chemists, Druggists, Midwives, Monthly Nurses, Apothecaries, Aurists, Chiropodists, etc.

ORDER 3.—Divinity,—viz. :—

Clergymen of all Denominations, Pastors, Students of Divinity, Lay Preachers, Church Officers, Nuns, Sisters of Mercy.

ORDER 4.—Literature, Arts, Science, Etc.,—viz. :—

Authors, Editors, Reporters, Artists, Sculptors, Engravers, Photographers, Musicians, Vocalists, Actors, Actresses, Billiard Table Keepers and Markers, Civil Engineers, Surveyors, Draughtsmen and other Scientific Persons, Schoolmasters, Schoolmistresses (other than Government), Governesses, Tutors, and all Teachers of Accomplishments.

CLASS III.—DOMESTIC DUTIES.

ORDER 1.—viz. :—

Wives, Widows, Sons and Daughters (15 years of age and upwards), Relatives and Visitors (not otherwise described).

CLASS IV.—PERSONAL OFFICES.

Hotelkeepers and their Wives (assisting in the Business), Beer or Colonial Wine Sellers and their Wives (assisting in the Business), Coffee and Eating House Keepers and their Wives (assisting in the Business), Board and Lodging House Keepers and their Wives, Cooks, Officers of Charitable Institutions, Servants' Registry Office Keepers, Domestic Servants, House Keepers ; Inn, Hotel, Club, Eating House, Lodging House, etc., servants ; Office Keepers or Cleaners, Porters, Messengers, and others engaged in attendance.

CLASS V.—COMMERCIAL.

Capitalists, Merchants, Auctioneers, Brokers, Commission Agents, Bank Officers and Clerks, Officers of Public Companies and Benefit Societies, Commercial Clerks, Commercial Travellers, Salesmen, Saleswomen, Shopkeepers (branch undefined) or their Wives, Pawnbrokers, Hawkers, Dealers, and all other General Dealers, Shipowners.

CLASS VI.—PASTORAL.

ORDER 1.—Employers,—viz. :—

Squatters, Graziers, Station Managers, Overseers, or Superintendents, or their Wives, Sons, and Daughters (over 15 years of age), or other relatives living on the Station, Stock and Station Agents.

ORDER 2.—Employed,—viz.:—

Shepherds, in or cut-door Servants, Hut Keepers, Bushmen, Boundary Riders, Fencers, Ditchers, Drovers, Shearers, Washers, Cooks, Men in Charge of Washpool, and all others on Station (not Employers).
