Description of the Boundaries (arranged in Geographical position from North to South) of the various Census Districts of Western Australia at the taking of the 7th Census, on the 31st March, 1901.

East Kimberley Census District.

All that portion of the Colony North of the 16th parallel of South latitude.

Kimberley Goldfields Census District.

Bounded on the North by the 16th parallel of South latitude. On the East by the Eastern boundary of the Colony (longitude 129° East). On the South by the parallel of 19° 30′ South latitude ; and on the West by the 126th meridian of East longitude.

West Kimberley Census District.

Bounded on the North by the sea-coast (including the islands adjacent) from a sport situated on the 123rd meridian of East longitude to a spot situated in Doubtful Bay on the 16th parallel of South latitude, and thence by the 16th parallel of South latitude. On the East by the 126th meridian of East longitude. On the South by the parallel of 19° 30′ South latitude ; and on the Westward by the 123rd meridian of East longitude.

Broome Census District.

Bounded on the South by the parallel of 19° 30′ South latitude. On the East by the 123rd meridian of East longitude ; and on the North and West by the sea-coast, including the islands adjacent.

Pllbarra Census District.

Bounded on the Westward by the left bank of the Yule River upwards to survey mark P 16 ; thence South-Easterly to trigonometrical station B 3 ; thence South to the Tropic of Capricorn, and along it East to the East boundary of the Colony. On the East by the East boundary of the Colony. On the North by a West line extending from the said East boundary of the Colony along the 19° 30′ parallel of South latitude to the sea coast ; and thence along the sea coast West-South-Westward to the mouth of the said Yule River, including all islands adjacent.

Roebourne Census District.

Bounded on the South and West by a South-South-East line from the sea coast to the trigonometrical station on the Pedamullah Hill ; thence East-South-Easterly to the trigonometrical station on Mount Darnell ; thence East-South-Easterly to the trigonometrical station on Mount Rica ; thence East-South-Easterly to the trigonometrical station Y 13 ; thence South-South-Easterly to the trigonometrical station on Mount Lionel ; thence due South to the Tropic of Capricorn, and along it East to a point due South from trigonometrical station B 3. On the East by a North line from said Tropic of Capricorn to said trigonometrical station B 3 ; thence North-Westerly to survey mark P 16, on the Yule River, and along its left bank downward to the sea coast ; and on the North by the said sea coast, including the islands adjacent.

Ashburton Census District.

Bounded on the North and East by a South-South-East line from the sea-coast to the trigonometrical station on Pedamullah Hill ; thence East-South-Easterly to the trigonometrical station on Mount Darnell ; thence East-South-Easterly to the trigonometrical station on Mount Rica ; thence East-South-Easterly to trigonometrical station Y 13 ; thence South-South-Easterly to the trigonometrical station on Mount Lionel ; thence due South to the Tropic of Capricorn. On the West by the sea-coast, including the islands adjacent ; and on the South by the Tropic of Capricorn.

Peak Hill Census District.

Bounded by lines starting from the summit of Mount Hale, and extending North-Westerly to the summit of Mount Gascoyne ; thence East-North-Easterly to trigonometrical station K 20 on a peak near the source of the Lyons River ; thence North-Easterly to the summit of Mount Bresnahan ; thence North to the Tropic of Capricorn ; thence East along same to the boundary of the Colony ; thence South along said boundary to the 26th parallel of South latitude ; thence West along the said parallel to a point situate North from the summit of Mount Russell ; thence South to same ; and thence North-Westerly to the starting point.

Gascoyne Census District.

Bounded by lines starting from the summit of Mount Murchison, and extending North-Easterly to the summit of Mount Hale ; thence North-Westerly to the summit of Mount Gascoyne ; thence East-North-Easterly to trigonometrical station K 20 on a peak near the source of the Lyons River ; thence West along same to the sea-coast ; thence Southerly along the coast to a point situate West from the starting point ; and thence East to the said point, including the islands adjacent.

Murchison Census District.

Bounded by lines starting from the summit of Mount Murchison and extending North-Easterly to the summit of Mount Hale ; thence South-Easterly to the summit of Mount Russell ; thence South-South-Westerly to the North-West corner of North Coolgardie Goldfield, said corner being situate about seven miles South and about three and a-quarter miles East from Wyemandoo Hill ; thence North-North-Westerly to the summit of said hill ; thence West-North-Westerly to trigonometrical station K 6 on Goonahmoudey Peak ; thence North-North-Westerly to the summit of Mount Farmer, onwards to the summit of Mount Luke, and onwards to the summit of Mount Murchison, the starting point.

East Murchison Census District.

Bounded by lines starting from the Southernmost corner of the Murchison Goldfields situate East about 4frac12; miles, and south about 4 miles from trigonometrical station K 75, on Wyemandoo Hill, and extending East to a point situate East 15 miles and North about 44 miles from the summit of Mount Ida ; thence North about 4frac14; miles ; thence East about 74frac14; miles, passing through a tree marked AN 33 at Doyle's Well, to a point situate West 2 miles 10 chains, and North about 35frac12; miles from tree marked B 82 at Brickey's Soak, thence North about 50 miles ; thence East to the 125th meridian East longitude ; thence South to a point situate East from the highest summit of the Wongan Hills ; thence East to the Eastern boundary of the Colony (129° East longitude) ; thence North along said boundary to the 26th parallel of South latitude ; thence West to a point situate North from the summit of Mount Russell ; thence South to the said summit ; thence South-South-Westward along the Eastern boundary of the Murchison Goldfields to the starting point.

Yalgoo Census District.

Bounded by lines starting from the summit of Mount Murchison and extending West-South-Westerly to the summit of Tallering Peak ; thence South-Easterly to the summit of Mugga Mugga Hill, and onwards to the summit of Mount Gibson, which lies about 12 miles South-West from Ninghan Creek ; then Eastward to trigonometrical station K 83 on the Western shore of Lake Moore ; then due East to the Western boundary of the Yilgarn Goldfield and along it North to its North-West corner ; thence West-North-Westward to the summit of Wyemandoo Hill and onwards to trigonometrical station K 6 on Goonahmoudey Peak ; thence North-West ward to the summit of Mount Farmer and onwards to the summit of Mount Luke and onwards to the summit of Mount Murchison.

Mount Margaret Census District.

Bounded by lines starting from a spot 15 miles East and 13 miles North from the summit of Mount Ida, and extending North about 35frac12; miles ; thence East about 74frac14; miles, passing through a tree marked AN 33 at Doyle's Well to a spot about 2 miles 10 chains West and about 35 miles North from tree marked B 82 at Brickey's Soak ; then North 50 miles ; then East to the 125th meridian East longitude, and South along that meridian to a spot due East of the said tree marked B 82 at Brickey's Soak, and West through the said tree to the starting point.

North Coolgardie Census District.

Bounded by lines starting from the Southernmost corner of the Murchison Goldfield, being the South-West corner of the East Murchison Goldfield, and situate about 4frac12; miles East and about 4 miles South from trigonometrical station K 75 on Wyemandoo Hill, and extending South to the South-East corner of the Yalgoo Goldfield, which is a point due East from Mount Gibson, near Lake Moore, and due North of a spot 10 miles West of a cairn on Yorkrakine Granite Rock ; thence East-South-East to a point about 50 miles due West from a cairn marked NB 1 near Wangine Soak ; thence East to Survey Station NB 1 ; thence about 87 degrees 20 miles 22 chains to Survey Station R 3 ; thence East to the 125th Meridian East longitude ; thence North along that meridian to a point East of tree marked B 82 at Brickey's Soak ; thence West through the said tree to a spot about 76frac14; miles West from it, and 13 miles North and 15 miles East from the summit of Mount Ida ; thence North about 31 miles to the South boundary of the East Murchison Goldfield, and West to the starting point.

North-East Coolgardie Census District.

Bounded by lines starting from the South-East corner of the Coolgardie Goldfield (which is a point about 40 miles East from the summit of a granite rock near the 50-mile Soak on the Dundas and Lake Lefroy Road), and extending East to the 125th meridian East longitude ; thence North along that meridian to a point East from Survey Station R 3, near the Cane Grass Swamp on the 90-mile Road ; thence West to the North-East corner of Broad Arrow Magisterial District ; thence South about 29 miles 70 chains to the Northerly corner of East Coolgardie Magisterial District ; thence along the North-East boundary of the East Coolgardie Magisterial District about 141° 35′ about 30 miles 53 chains to the North-East corner of Location 44 ; thence along the Eastern boundary of Location 44 to its South-East corner ; thence about 162° 10′ about 1 mile 64 chains to the North-East corner of Location 45 ; thence South along its Eastern boundary to its South-East corner ; thence South to a point about 7 miles 65 chains East from the South-Eastern corner of Location 48 ; thence East about 27 miles 15 chains ; thence South about 48 miles to the starting point.

Broad Arrow Census District.

Bounded by lines starting from the North-East corner of the Yilgarn Goldfield (which is a point about 50 miles West from a cairn marked NB 1, near Wangine Soak), and extending South about 118 miles through a cairn, H 26, on Koorarawalyee Granite Rock ; thence East about 133 miles through the summit of a granite rock near the 50-mile Soak on the Dundas and Lake Lefroy Road ; thence North about 48 miles to a point 35 miles East of the South-East corner of Hampton Plains Location 48 ; thence West 35 miles to the South-East corner of the above-mentioned Location ; thence along the boundaries (surveyed) of Location 48, Westerly 443 chains 91 links, Northerly 564 chains 87 links to the South-East corner of Location 51 ; thence along the boundaries (surveyed) of that Location Westerly 160 chains, Southerly 60 chains, Westerly 119 chains 87 links to the South-West corner of Location 51 ; thence Northerly 400 chains along the Western boundary of Location 53 to the North-East corner of Location 53 ; thence along a surveyed line 324° 46′ 36 miles 1,481 links ; thence North 30 miles 47 chains 46 links along a surveyed line to a tree, R 3, near the Cane Grass Swamp on 90-mile Road ; thence Westerly to a cairn marked NB 1 near Wangine Soak ; thence Westerly about 50 miles to the starting point.

Dundas Census District.

Bounded on the North by a due East line produced from Mount Stirling ; on the East by the 123rd meridian of East longitude ; on the South by a due West line, passing through Mount Ridley ; and on the West by the 120th meridian of East longitude.

Yilgarn Census District.

Bounded by lines starting from a point 90 miles South of a cairn, H 26, on Koorarawalyee Granite Rock and extended West to a point due South of a point 10 miles West of cairn HK 148 on Yorkrakine Granite Rock ; thence North to the South-East corner of the Yalgoo Goldfield ; thence East-South-East to a point about 50 miles due West from a cairn, NB (conjoined) 1, near Wangine Soak ; thence South through the before mentioned cairn H 26 to the starting point.

Victoria Census District.

Bounded on the North by an East line from the sea-coast to the summit of Mount Murchison. On the Eastward by a South-South-West line to the summit of Tallering Peak ; thence South-Easterly to the summit of Mugga Mugga Hill and onwards to the summit of Mount Gibson, which lies about 12 miles South-West from Ninghan Creek ; thence Eastward to trigonometrical station K 83 on the Western shore of Lake Moore ; thence due East to the Western boundary of the Yilgarn Magisterial District, and along it South to a point due East of Mount Lesueur. On the South by a due West line passing through the summit of said Mount Lesueur to the sea-coast ; and on the West by the said sea-coast and the islands adjacent.

Toodyay Census District.

Bounded on the North by a line starting from the sea-coast and extending due East, passing through the summit of Mount Lesueur to the West boundary of the Yilgarn Magisterial District. On the West by the sea-coast including the islands adjacent ; on the South and South-West by lines extending East from the coast aforesaid to a spot on the North branch of the Moore River where the South boundary of Melbourne Location 93 at Gillingarra crosses it ; thence downwards along the said North branch to the junction of the North and East branches of the Moore River ; thence in a South-South Easterly direction to the 60th-mile mark on the road from Perth to New Norcia ; thence to the South-West corner of Swan Location 95 at Bailup ; thence by a South-Easterly line to a spot on the Eastern Railway due North from the North-East corner of Helena Location 22 ; thence by the said Eastern Railway to the Clackline ; thence Northwards along the branch Railway to Newcastle to a spot West-South-Westerly from the North-West corner of Avon Location X ; thence East-North-Easterly along Northern boundary of Location X to the East side of the Avon River ; thence down said river to the North boundary of Avon Location U ; thence East-North-Easterly along North boundary of Location U aforesaid, and on to the South-West corner of Avon Location 895 ; thence East-North-Easterly to the South-East corner of Avon Location 296 ; thence North-North-Westerly to the North-West corner of Avon Location W ; thence East-North-Easterly to the North-East corner of Location W aforesaid, and thence due East. On the East by a due North line produced through a spot 10 miles West of cairn HK 148 on Yorkrakine Granite Rock.

Northam Census District.

Bounded by lines starting from the Eastern Railway, and extending due South five miles towards the North-East corner of Helena Location 22 ; thence East-North-Easterly to the North-West corner of Avon Location F ; thence East-North-Easterly along North boundaries of Avon Locations F and J to the North-East corner of Location J ; and thence due East. On the North by the Eastern Railway to the Clackline ; thence Northwards along the branch railway to Newcastle to a spot West-South-Westerly from the North-West corner of Avon Location X ; thence East-North-Easterly along Northern boundary of Location X to the East side of the Avon River ; thence down said river to the North boundary of Avon Location U ; thence East-North-Easterly along North boundary of Location U aforesaid, and on to the South-West corner of Avon Location 895 ; thence East-North-Easterly to the South-East corner of Avon Location 296 ; thence North-North-Westerly to the North-West corner of Avon Location W ; thence East-North-Easterly to the North-East corner of Location W aforesaid ; and thence due East. On the East by a due South line produced through a spot 10 miles West of cairn HK 148 on Yorkrakine Granite Rock.

DESCRIPTION OF THE BOUNDARIES, ETC.—continued.

York Census District.

Bounded on the North by an East-North-Easterly line, starting from a spot five miles due South from the Eastern Railway towards the North-East corner of Helena Location 22, and extending to the North-West corner of Avon Location F ; thence East-North-Easterly along the North boundaries of Avon Locations F and J to the North-East corner of Location J ; and thence due East. On the West by a due South line to the South-East corner of Helena Location 22, and thence in a Southerly direction to the summit of Mount Dale ; thence by a South-Easterly line from Mount Dale to a spot 20 miles due East from the 41-mile mark on the Perth-Albany Road ; then in about the same direction to the Hotham River at Reserve 225A at Cojatotine Pool. On the Southward from the South end of the Western boundary, extending in a North-Easterly direction along the Hotham River upwards to Millingnalling Pool, and thence due East ; and on the East by a due South line produced to a spot 10 miles West of cairn HK 148 on Yorkrakine Granite Rock.

Swan Census District.

Bounded on the North and East by a line extending East from the sea-coast to a spot on the North branch of the Moore River, where the South boundary of Melbourne Location 93, at Gillingarra, crosses it ; thence downwards along the said North branch to the junction of the North and East branches of the Moore River ; thence in a South-South-Easterly direction to the 60th-mile mark on the road from Perth to New Norcia ; thence to the South-West corner of Swan Location 95 at Bailup ; thence by a South-Easterly line to a spot on the Eastern Railway due North from the North-East corner of Helena Location 22 ; thence by a South line to the South-East corner of said location ; thence in a Southerly direction to the summit of Mt. Dale. On the South by an East line from the sea-coast, passing along the North boundary of Perthshire Location 111, at Nowergup Lake, to a spot due North of the North-East corner of Perthshire Location 104 at Gnangarra Lake ; thence due South to said location's South-East corner ; thence by a straight line to the South-East corner of Swan Location X, on the Swan River ; thence South-Easterly along the North-East boundary of Swan Location 34, to its Easternmost corner ; and thence by a South-Easterly line to Mount Dale aforesaid. And on the West by the sea-coast, including the islands adjacent.

Perth Census District.

Bounded on the West by the sea-coast, including the islands adjacent. On the North and East by lines extending East from the sea-coast, passing along the North boundary of Perthshire Location 111, at Nowergup Lake, to a spot due North of the North-East corner of Perthshire Location 104, at Gnangarra Lake ; thence due South to said location's South-East corner ; thence by a straight line to the South-East corner of Swan Location X, on the Swan River ; thence South-Easterly along the North-East boundary of Swan Location 34 to its Easternmost corner ; and thence by a South-Easterly line to Mount Dale. On the South by the North and East boundaries of North Fremantle Townsite ; thence by the Southern shores of the Swan Estuary and of the Canning River and Bull's Creek to the North-West corner of Canning Location 26 ; thence by the West and South boundaries of said Location 26 to its South-East corner ; thence by a South-Easterly line to that spot on the Perth-Albany Road situate due East from the South boundary of Rockingham Townsite, and thence North-Easterly to Mount Dale aforesaid.

Fremantle Census District.

Bounded on the West by the sea-coast. On the South by an East line along the South boundary of Rockingham Townsite to the Perth-Albany Road. On the East by a North-Westerly line to the South-East corner of Canning Location 26 ; thence by that location's South and West boundaries to Bull's Creek. On the North by Bull's Creek, the Canning River, and Swan Estuary to the sea, including North Fremantle Townsite, Rottnest, Carnac, Garden Island, and other islands adjacent.

Murray Census District.

Bounded on the West by the sea-coast, including the islands adjacent. On the North by an East line passing along the South boundary of Rockingham Townsite to the Perth-Albany Road and by a North-Easterly line thence to Mount Dale. On the Eastward by a South-Easterly line from Mount Dale to a spot 20 miles due East from the 41-mile mark on the Perth-Albany Road aforesaid ; thence West to the said mile mark, and from thence by a line extending in a Southerly direction to the junction of the Hotham and Williams Rivers. And on the South by an East line from the sea-coast passing through the summit of Mount William to the Murray River, and by that river upwards, including the locations and leases on both banks, to the junction of the Hotham and Williams Rivers aforesaid.

Williams Census District.

Bounded by lines starting from the 41-mile mark on the Perth-Albany Road, and extending in a Southerly direction to the junction of the Hotham and Williams Rivers ; and thence South-South-Easterly in direction of the junction of the Black-wood and Balgarup Rivers to a point West of Tarwonga ; thence East to a point seven miles East of Tarwonga ; and thence North-North-Westerly to Cojatotine Pool in the Hotham River ; thence North-Westerly to a point situate 20 miles East of said 41-mile mark ; and thence West to the starting point.

Katanning Census District.

Bounded on the Northward by the Hotham River upwards from Cojatotine Pool to Millingnalling Pool, and from thence by an East line in the direction of the summit of Mount Glasse, in the Bremer Range. On the Westward by a South-South-Easterly line from Cojatotine Pool aforesaid to a point seven miles East of Tarwonga ; thence West to a line extending South-South-Easterly from the junction of Hotham and Williams Rivers to the junction of Balgarup and Blackwood Rivers ; thence South-South-Easterly along said line to the said junction of Blackwood and Balgarup Rivers ; then by a line extending in a South-Easterly direction to a spot 16 miles West from the 175-mile mark on the Perth-Albany Road. On the Southward by an East line, passing through the 175-mile mark aforesaid to the junction of the Jackitup Creek with the Pallinup River ; and thence by a line extending in an East-North-Easterly direction towards Mount Glasse, in the Bremer Range aforesaid ; and on the East by the 120th meridian of East longitude.

Wellington Census District.

Bounded on the West by the sea-coast. On the North by an East line from the said coast, passing through the summit of Mount William to the Murray River ; thence by that river upward, excluding the locations and leases on both banks to the junction of the Hotham and Williams Rivers. On the Eastward by a South-South-Easterly line from the junction of the Hotham and Williams Rivers aforesaid to the junction of the Blackwood and Balgarup Rivers. And on the Southward by a true East line from the sea-coast to the Capel River, passing along the South boundary of Sussex Location 82 ; thence by the said river upwards to Location 171 inclusive ; thence due East about three miles from the South-West corner of Wellington Location 171 aforesaid ; thence North to a point West of the South boundary of Donnybrook Townsite ; thence East to the Donnybrook-Bridgetown Railway Reserve, and along it Southerly to a point East of the South-West corner of said Wellington Location 171 ; thence East to a point due South from the South-East corner of Wellington Location 40 ; thence North, passing along the Eastern boundary of Wellington Location 40 aforesaid to a point situate about 580 chains North from its North-East corner ; thence West about seven miles ; thence North about five and a-half miles to an angle in the Eastern boundary of Wellington Location 56 ; thence East two miles to another angle in the said boundary ; thence North about four miles, passing through the North-Eastern corner of said Location 56 ; thence East about five and a-half miles to the Collie River at its junction with the Harris River, and along the right bank of the said Collie River downwards to a point due West of Survey Station T 28 ; thence East about 12 miles, South about 11frac34; miles, passing through Survey Station T 52 ; thence West to Gregory's marked line of road from Bunbury to Kojonup, known as the " old post road," and thence by the said road to the junction of the Balgarup and Blackwood Rivers aforesaid.

Collie Census District.

Bounded by lines starting from a point situate about two miles South from the Eastern end of the Southernmost boundary of Wellington Location 56, and extending North about five and a-half miles to an angle in the Eastern boundary of said Location 56 ; thence East two miles to another angle in the said boundary ; thence North about four and a-half miles, passing through the North-Eastern corner of said Location 56 ; thence East about five and a-half miles to the Collie River at its junction with the Harris River, and along the right bank of the said Collie River downwards to a point due West to Survey Station T 28 ; thence East about 12 miles ; thence South about 11frac34; miles, passing through Survey Station T 52 ; thence West about 14 frac14; miles ; thence North about five miles ; thence West about seven miles to the starting point.

Sussex Census District.

Bounded on the Northward by the shore of Geographe Bay, and by an East line from the shore of the said bay to the Capel River, passing along the South boundary of Sussex Location 82 ; then by the river aforesaid upwards to Wellington Location 171, excluding such location. On the Eastward by a South-Easterly line from the South-West corner of Wellington Location 171 aforesaid to the junction of Padbury Brook with the Blackwood River ; from thence to the South-West corner of Nelson Location 31, at Manjimup ; thence in a Southerly direction to a spot known as Bullamurrup ; thence by the Bullamurrup Creek, downwards to its junction with the Warren River ; thence by said river upwards to its junction with the Wilgarup River. On the South-East by a North-North-Easterly line extending from the extreme end of D'Entrecasteaux Point to the junction of the Wilgarup River with the Warren River aforesaid. And on the Southward and Westward by the sea-coast, including the islands adjacent.

Blackwood Census District.

Bounded on the Northward and Eastward by lines extending due East about three miles from the South-West corner of Wellington Location 171 ; thence North to a point West of the South boundary of Donnybrook Townsite ; thence East to the Donnybrook-Bridgetown Railway Reserve, and along it Southerly to a point East of the South-West corner of said Wellington Location 171 ; thence East to a point due South from the South-East corner of said Wellington Location 40 ; thence North, passing along the Eastern boundary of said Location 40 to a point situate about 180 chains North from its North-East corner ; thence East to Gregory's marked line of road from Bunbury to Kojonup (known as the " old post road"), and thence by the said road to the junction of the Balgarup and Blackwood Rivers ; thence by a straight line from the said junction to a point 16 miles West of the 175-mile mark on the Perth-Albany Road. On the Westward by a South-Easterly line from the South-West corner of Wellington Location 171 aforesaid to the junction of Padbury's Brook with the Blackwood River, and from thence to the South-West corner of Nelson Location 31 at Manjimup ; thence in a Southerly direction to a point known as Bullamurrup ; thence by the Bullamurrup Creek downwards to its junction with the Warren River. On the Southward by said Warren River upwards to its junction with the Wilgarup River ; thence by an Easterly line to the South-West corner of Nelson Location 6 at Topanup ; thence Easterly by the road to Albany to Muir's Bridge at the Frankland River ; thence in a Northerly direction up the Frankland River to Upper Yeriminup Fool ; thence Northerly to a point 16 miles West of the 175-mile mark of the Perth-Albany Road aforesaid.

Plantagenet Census District.

Bounded on the East by a South line from H 26 on Koorarawalyee Rock to a point West of Mount Ridley ; thence West to a point North of Mount Madden and South to the sea-coast. On the South by the sea-coast aforesaid from the said East

boundary to D'Entrecasteaux Point, including the islands adjacent. On the Northward and Westward by lines extending North-North-Easterly from Point D'Entrecasteaux aforesaid to the junction of the Wilgarup River with the Warren River ; thence by an Easterly line to the South-West corner of Nelson Location 6 at Topanup ; thence Easterly by the road to Albany to Muir's Bridge at the Frankland River ; thence in a Northerly direction up the Frankland River to Upper Yerriminup Pool ; thence Northerly to a point 16 miles West from the 175-mile mark on the Perth-Albany Road ; thence East, passing through the said mile mark, to the junction of the Jackitup Creek with the Pallinup River ; thence East-North-Easterly in direction of Mount Glasse.

Phillips River Census District.

Starting from a point on the South coast distant about two miles Northerly from Red Island ; thence due North through Mount Madden to a point West of Mount Ridley ; thence due East in the direction of Mount Ridley 30 miles ; thence due South to the sea-coast ; thence by the coast Westward to the starting point.

Esperance Census District.

Bounded on the East by the East boundary of the Colony. On the South by the sea-coast. On the West and North by a North line from the sea-coast aforesaid, passing through a point situate 30 miles East from Mount Madden to a point due West from Mount Ridley ; thence East passing through said Mount Ridley to the 123rd meridian of East longitude ; thence North along said meridian to a point due East from Mount Stirling ; thence East to the 125th meridian of East longitude ; thence North along said meridian to a spot due East from the highest summit of the Wongan Hills ; and thence due East to the Eastern boundary of the Colony.
